Viva Pinata
Once again please excuse my absence. The past week has been weird for me. I think that I mentioned in prevous posts that I've been working a lot over the past few weeks. By last Wednesday night, my body was so close to shutting down. I thought a few days of rest would pick me up but by Sunday I didn't really feel any different. On Monday, I was so stressed out that I felt like crying all the time. The smallest things would make me so mad. I still couldn't figure out what was going on with me. Then, Dr. W and I had a long talk on Tuesday and everything became so clear. This has really been a transition time for me both personally and professionally. Professional stuff I won't dwell on here because it is not right to do so. I don't want to end up like Heather B. from dooce. =) In terms of personal stuff, Tim and I are going to buying a place after Christmas and starting our lives again in a new place. It is exciting but scary at the same time. However, I noticed that after I let everything out I had so much more energy and would up cleaning like a mad person last night. I got really organized and feel great.
Tonight Tim is playing Viva Pinata which is a game about pinatas living in a garden, or something like that...=) There is a video game for everything now.
Anyway, I'm off to the bath as it is colder than all get out in the apartment. TTFN.

And inside the man, you find his....nucleus.
Tomorrow we are going to talk at Cisco. I'm very excited about this as the potential for patients is huge. It's good that I am going along because I never get nervous while speaking in pubic so hopefully I can offer some support to the other doc.
Tim and I are having Thanksgiving at our house this year. I ordered my Turkey and pies today from PW market. They have a full turkey ready to pick up and eat along with delicious pies. I am looking forward to Thanksgiving. Dr. W is giving me Friday off so I get a nice 4 day vacay. Then, 2 weeks later.....DISNEYLAND!
I know I promised pictures....they are for sure coming. I just have to transfer them from my camera. =)

Gears of War
Today was the first day that the two new girls worked alone. Everything is going well. We saw 52 patients. Dr. Lisa is exhausted....but content.
Only 1 more day of being 26. The baby of the group is growing up =)
Since this week has been hectic, Tim and I had a date tonight at TGI Friday's and talked about all the good memories we had there since we met. We've celebrated so many birthdays there. Tim met his life partner Steve there for the first time. (Tim was drinking a drink with an umbrella in it that freaked out Steve. =) Ha! Anyway, back to the story. Tim was kind enough to get me a massage, facial, manicure and pedicure at Lavande as an early birthday treat. My husband knows me well. (Bianca, "don't get married" is retracted for this period of time =))
Anyway, looking forward to my hot dogs and nachos on Friday. I'm betting on any horse with a name Lemon. All you devotees out there get your horse picks ready. It's almost post time!

God talks through poop
I had my weekend nap today. Devotees will remember that I usually nap on Sunday during sports, however, Tim is having a co-worker over tomorrow so I can't very well be drooling on the couch when he is here. Anyhoo, we went to the office this morning and Tim helped me move stuff around to get organized for our new staff. They are starting on Monday. I'm excited.
I'm going to get started cleaning the house now. I've been putting it off for a few days but I gotta bust that vacuum out now. I have half an hour until the Sharks game is on so I'd better get cracking! Hope everyone is having a good weekend. Peace out.

As promised
This was the view from the front of the hotel. I highly recommend Paris and would stay there again.
The gorgeous family shot in the Bellagio lobby. Note my dad's new movie star teeth. Not bad for a coal miner from middle England.
Today has been an interesting day and I've spent some time browsing the internet. I'm toying with the idea of starting a journal. While I know the blog is supposed to be a form of journal writing, I also think that we all have some things that we have to say but only in private. This brings me to my next point. Everyone should visit postsecret This format was used in the video for the song "dirty little secret" where people held up cards in front of their face that said things they had always wanted to say. This had got me thinking. What would my postcard say? In fact, what would yours?

Castaway
I do think it is slightly alarming that he talks to a volleyball covered in blood though. Oh well, to each their own I guess.
Today I sat outside in the sun for awhile and read. There is nothing better than reading on a lazy afternoon. I could use some new books though as I have re-read most of my books so many times at this point. Perhaps a trip to barnes and noble is due. Actually, not a bad idea.....

The Emerald City
However, I just bough a new equestrian riding jacket (as if I ride) from LL Bean which is super warm. I took my Burbs scarf as well and I was sweating =) (B, all I need now is shoes! =)) All in all, I think that it was a good time and totally worth it.
Tim and i had a nice morning. He went and got Starbucks for me as I was dragging. His parents came over for a bit to watch the 49ers game, which of course was very sad. I had to leave though as my, my mum and my aunt went to San Fran to Pier 39 to see "Menopause, The Musical". I know it sounds a bit odd but it was great. It was four women telling stories about their lives through popular music with the lyrics changed. I highly recommend you all take your moms to see it.
Speaking of moms, mine has been worried about me for the last week. I had a really draining work week and felt like crap by Friday. I also felt like I was complaining all the time, but it was just that I had so much on my mind that had to get out or else I would have gone crazy. Plus, I got all kinds of crazy hormones going on right now, if you know what I mean. =) So I'm feeling more positive now and I think this week will be a good one. I am trying to stay positive and practic separating what happens at the office from home. All doctors go through a transition period when they learn to separate themselves from their patients and office dramas. I think I just wasn't as good at it last week. Oh well, God gave us Mondays to make a fresh start.

At Last
This was taken post wedding and after several glasses of chapagne!
I know I'm not really smiling in this one, but I like it. =)All in all, it was a wonderful wedding. The ceremony was very sweet and James started to cry when Robin came down the aisle with Rich. I love weddings! We danced like fiends all night. I was so happy because the DJ (same as my wedding) played Sexy Back (my new favorite song). We stayed at the deAnza afterwards with everyone and sat in the lobby until 1:00 just talking and hanging out. It was a really wonderful time.
On another note, Tim and I are off to hockey this friday. I'm going to get a new sweatshirt with my "shark pack" discount. Yippee! I have to say, the Sharks organization really takes care of their fans.
Anyhoo, it is time for my nightly bath and milk/cookie/chocolate combination. I'm looking for a new set of jammies too as the nights have turned cool. Hmmm..perhaps a trip to JC Penneys? Who's with me? =)

At last, my love has come along
Me, Kelley and her maid of honour Corrine
There were over 350 people at this wedding!
The beautiful bride

The ceremony outside in the botanical gardens.
Tim and I were very blessed to be able to go to Canada for this wedding. I always knew that I would see Kelley and Alex get married, but words can't describe what a feeling it was. The ceremony took place outside and the weather was beautiful. I was surprisingly tear-free through the ceremony and the ceremony was short but sweet. After that, we had a long break until the reception in the evening. Tim and I went back to the hotel and I caught up on some much needed sleep while Tim watched all of season 2 of Lost. He is completely caught up now, ready for the new season. =)
After our nap/Lost watching, we went down to get the party started. The dinner was fantastic. We had 5 courses! Of course, it was an Italian influenced event so you can imagine how tasty everything was. Like I said before, I was able to hold in the tears until I signed the guestbook. I think then it hit me that Kelley and I now don't know when we'll see in each other again. I always knew when she left last year that I would see her at my wedding and then at her wedding, but now....who knows. We have to get together to do some continuing education in Vegas or something along those lines. I can't go more than a year without seeing her. But it was really good that I was able to cry about it and then make peace with it. I know that she is where she is supposed to be. I was just lucky to have her in my life for 3 and half years. True friendship knows no boundaries or time zones or life changes. Seeing her again was just like the old times. I know that she and I will always be connected no matter how much distance separates us.
And in the end it's good to be home. Nothing is better than walking into your own space after you've been away. Like I said, Kelley is where she is supposed to be and I am too. It was just nice to be able to hug her, say I love you and I miss you. I said my peace. I am content. =)

Spendy Weekend
Yesterday we went to Tim's parents for breakfast and then went to Best Buy to get AD3 as Tim's dealer was late on sending it. It was great to watch the DVD's but sad to think the show is really over. Nothing much to look forward to now.
Today we went to my parents house and went to Target and Ulta to get some bits and pieces we needed. I love errand running days.
So the spendyness came in on friday. I went to Nordstroms with my mum to look for a shirt to wear to Kelley's wedding this weekend. However, I found more than one shirt that I liked by Nine West. Of course, they were a little on the pricey side, but hey, I've never really bought expensive clothes before. Plus, one of the shirts was a medium! Ha! All my exercising has really paid off. I don't think that I've lost that much weight, but my body is definitely reshaped now. Woot. (Of course this weekend I did no exercising and ate fast food about 3 times. EEK) Back to the drawing board tomorrow.

My new phone

Here is my new phone. I was thinking about upgrading soon anyway, but then I got a thing in the mail saying since I'm such a loyal customer I could get a new phone for 15 bucks after rebate. Of course they think that I won't bother with rebates, but I always do and I always get my money back. Anyway, I bought a bluetooth headseat as well because I am always on the phone. Plus, now B and I can be bluetooth buddies and walk around in public places like fools =)
Beyond that, Tim and I ran errands today. We went to Target, got his hair cut, got booze from BevMo, new phone and then I went and got my nails and eyebrows done. I am sitting here with an ice pack on my brows as we speak in hope that the redness will go down soon. Ah the joys of being a whitey.

we have a new air con!
Tonight's Netflix includes The Man, Flight Plan and V for Vendetta. My online system for work is messed up right now, so it's going to be a long evening. However, nothing better than some good grub, movies and time to do work. =)

At least I got the timing right today
Tim and I just watched Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. What a great movie. I highly recommend that you all put it in your queue. A little action, comedy and Robert Downey Jr. Yum. Now we are watching Firewall. Harrison Ford is about to go apeshit I think. He just beat somebody down with a blender. He's rough like that (although looking slightly old). Oh yeah...he's super rough.
My nap today was only for about 10 minutes, unfortch. I fell asleep at the beginning of Firewall but then Tim touched my leg and I woke up. I'll have to go to bed soon to make up for my napping time I missed today. ZZZZZZZZ =)

Kona Krunch
Tim is currently pleased as his is killing the undead. (He loathes the undead) However, the game is being cheap and he almost had a "Lost" type breakdown. No controllers have been thrown at the screen yet.....yet. He is still working out the bugs, so to speak.
I received my super size Glamour in the mail today and I can't wait to get cracking at it. I must get in the bath with my Kona Krunch and glass of milk and read. Tim thinks it's weird that I eat in the bath. But I say, why not eat in the bath. If you spill, it all goes down the drain. Plus, I have lovely bath gels to play with as well that make the experience all the more fun. My dad just stayed at the Peadbody hotel in Florida where they have ducks that live in the lobby and walk around freely (Somebody must have the job title, duck shit cleaner upper, as ducks shit a lot!) and he brought me back about 5 little duck soaps and 5 bottles of duckie bath gel. I'm looking forward to using it tonight. It's time for "a good do" I think, as we say in England. That means a good wash and scrub and moisturize etc...everyone deserves a good do every now and then. =)
In conclusion, I would just like to say that I'm glad Wednesday is over. Last week was a little too exhausting for me and my back has been playing up today. It's amazing how many Chiros have to quit the biz early due to back injury. However, I did get adjusted right before I left for the evening so maybe a nice warm bath will finish me of. I do have some more work to do, but I always feel more refreshed after my bath. I'm looking forward to celebrating Bee's b-day this weekend and I'm looking forward to my nap on Sunday. That's right, I plan my naps. You should all try it. In fact, your goal for this weekend is to plan a nap at some point in time. (Except for Eric and Chris who should be partying like rock stars in Vegas with Celine. You can sleep on the plane =)) Peace out homies.

Anniversary weekend
We were driving in the car the other day and I was talking about work with Tim and how this week is going to be rough because I am running the practice for 4 days. Tim then paused and said can I believe where I am right now? It seems like such a long time ago that I was so depressed about my life and crying everyday not knowing what was going to happen to me. Now, I have an awesome stable job and couldn't be happier. Interesting how life changes so quickly.
Anyway, Tim and I stayed at Santana Row at Hotel Valencia last night. We checked in to a gorgeous room and then proceeded to watch the free HBO like the dorks that we are. After that, we went to the Vintage Wine Bar and sat outside and had some wine and a meat and cheese platter. I would have never thought that Tim would have ever been happy to sit out at Santana Row with all the other posers and ponces and metrosexuals, but he was kind enough to partake last night. We then decided to go see Clerks II at CineArts. Now I enjoy the Kevin Smith very muchly, however, there were some moments in this film (discussions of "ass to mouth" sexuality and a scene with "inter-species erotica") that I could have done without. However, it was mostly just good fun and fitting as Tim and I love Jay and Silent Bob.
After the movie, we went to the Left Bank for dinner. It was very nice although we ate way too much food and had a ton of drinks. It was fun though and I kept on reminding myself that it was money well spent due to the significance of the event. Also, the gift for the first anniversary is paper, which money is made out, of so i think that that somehow works out ok.
In the end we had a wonderful anniversary. Tim got me a totally rockin stereo for my car that runs my iPod from the glove compartment. I got Tim and new Sharks jersey that he's been wanting. Overall, I think that it was a great weekend. Today after checkout we came home and watched Red Eye and now we're going to watch the Island.
Oh yeah, I also booked us a trip to Vegas with my parents in October to go see Elton John at Caesar's. We've been trying to do this for over a year so i finally just said I'm doing it, we'ere going. Anyway, I got a super sweet deal on Expedia for two nights at Paris and flight for 411 per person. Expedia is my friend. We are flying to Canada for Kelley's wedding with Expedia. I rented a car with them as well. Love the discount travel.
As a side note, my last post was about how we were going to watch Lost. Unfortunately, ABC has decided to put on some singing, American idol wannabe show and not show Lost re-runs anymore. I thought Tim was going to break the TV he had such a fit. He has turned into one of you all...you know who you are =)
Anyway, that's all for now. I must try to convince Tim to stop killing the Nazi's that he's been working on all day (XBOX 360). Wish me luck!

America's got talent
Incidentally, we watched Closer the other night. Talk about an f-ed up movie. Holy crap. How that film was every a play...I don't know. Anyway, I love Clive Owen so I could enjoy his performance, but I wouldn't recommend the movie if you are looking for a light evening of entertainment.
Tim and I just finished dinner and I think I will make some cookies tonight. I feel like baking a bit..=)

movie night
We had dinner with my parents at the Macaroni Grill tonight. They have some good grub there. I highly recommend it. =)
I had to go to work today for about 5 hours. It was totally worth it though as we got a lot of work done. I have several insurance/billing projects to do this week, but I think it will make this week go by quickly. Nothing better than a quickly passing week.
In addition, I have to give a birthday shout out to Sarah. Happy Birthday, and many more...on channel 4...and scooby doo....on channel 2 and so on and so forth.

Wedding etc.
Chris and Eric looking fab as always!

This is a dangerous foursome....=)
Anyway, the wedding was really beautiful and we had a super time. The hotel we stayed at was really nice and I especially enjoyed it as the chair in our room was Burberry. I tried to steal it but I think they would have noticed and I can't really afford a 3,000 dollar chair right now...so best that Tim stopped me from hauling it down to my car.
Yesterday I went to see The Devil Wears Prada with my girls (Sar and B). It was cute but very different from the book. That is always to be expected though, as books are ALWAYS better than the movies. After the film, we took a stroll around the Great Mall. We all wound up purchasing some good stuff. I'm especially happy as I got two new pairs of jeans. Let me just say that shopping for pants is pretty much torture for me. If I wind up going to hell, my punishment will be shopping for pants. In this day and age, everything is low rise. However, they don't take into account that sometimes, those of us with a short torso need a higher rise. My waist is techinically almost up by my boobs. =) Ha Ha. Anyway, I got two new pairs of Calvin Klein jeans that are very comfy and fit well. I will have to stretch them out a bit though, as one always does when one buys new pants. Last night I put them on and did the usual squat to the floor, leg stretches and rolling around on the bed that I'm sure most of you girls out there can relate to. However, I think that the more I wear them, the looser they will be. Did you know that you are not supossed to wash denim unless there is an actual spill on them? It keeps them comfy for much longer. Of course you must wash them if you are stinky, but girls usually are not.
The world cup final is almost over. It's in the 68th minute. I'm not really rooting for either side as England was sent home by Portugal (Grr...Chris). We have to hate the frogs as that is what the English do, however, so many of them play for clubs in England and Zidane is so old that I wish he could retire with a championship. On the other hand, Italy is a good club and I'm sure Kelley and Alex are rooting for them with all their heart =)
So, I'm going to finish my giant coffee I got from Krispy Kreme this morning. Their coffee is not that bad and is about 3 times as big as Starbucks. It's a vat really...but what the hell, it's Sunday. Plus, I'm wearing my exercise clothes that I don't exercise in..so I may as well take it to the max and drink coffee and doughnuts to top off the day of non-excercise. So, if any of you are out there wearing your exercise clothes that you don't exercise in, go get yourself a vat of coffee, a doughnut and sit on the couch. Believe me, you'll love it. =)

i have bangs
Ok, so what the hell was up with Clay Aiken's hair on the Americal Idol finale. He looks even more gay now.....someone should tell Clay that the way to stop gay rumors is not look more gay. It's true.
Today, tomorrow and Friday I am running my office alone. Today was good..I saw about 40 people or so and I am only slightly tired. I'm going to hop into the bath soon and read my new allure mag. I'll take some tea and a smidgen of choco to snack on. Nothing better than that!
On a sad note, my grandmother is not doing well in England and my mum is going on Friday. It shouldn't be too long now before she passes which would be a good thing as she seems to be in a bit of pain now. =( Anyway, keep my fam in your thoughts right now.

I return and it's winter again
So I enjoyed the DaVinci code. I didn't think it was nearly as bad as everyone made it out to be. It was just a bit of fun and adventure. They did change it some from the book which I think made it less dramatic, however, it was pretty true to the story. I hate Tom Hanks' long hair though. He looks like a greasy old man. Audrey Tatou is super cute though, and Paul Bettany is awesome as Silas. I give it 3.5/5.
I have to unpack my bags and organize myself for tomorrow. That's always the crappy part about traveling. Unpacking sucks. =)

Dallas Baby!
Only two more days til I come home. Yay.
Saturday, May 13, 2006
.
I'm going into the office for a few hours today to do some cleaning and organizing. I just can't stand it anymore and I hate that our patients can see so much of the front desk. yuck. Watch out dirt....here comes Dr. Lisa! =)
We are going to Cheri's for dinner tonight so that should be fun to see the fab gang. I'm going to try to stop by Bee's today before I go over to Cheri's to marvel at her new chairs and just hang out for a bit like urban chic girls like us do.
Tomorrow night we are going to the Shark's game at the Tank. Good luck to us. I will have a bleeding ulcer before this series is through. Grrrrr.

Anxiety times 10
Work is going really well. I've started adjusting more and more and I'm enjoying it. I'm going to Dallas next week for a seminar so that should be fun. I'm going to make use of the pool I'm sure, and work on my tan for Robin's wedding during the down time.
Only 3 more minutes to go. i can't take this any more.

WE WIN!
This weekend was a little bit of a bust for me. I had to go to a seminar which was okay. I learned some new cool stuff but it was a little too far out for me. However it's always important to try to be as open minded as possible and just take whatever you can from situations like that.
It's now 10pm and once the laundry comes out of the dryer, I will be going to sleep. I managed to get all my work comp cases done tonight so I can have a bit of a sleep in in the AM. Yes, 7:30 perhaps...=)

Here comes the sun..
We sat outside to eat and while I put on sunscreen, I missed a few parts on the arms so I'm a little patchy. I think that tomorrow I should be able to put on the old bikini and lay outside. I have to start tanning now for Robin's wedding in September. Although, I have to be careful to avoid strap tan lines because our dresses have little spaghetti straps so....at least I have my bra get up from my wedding that I can wear. We all know how much support the cans need. =) Plus, since I started working I've lost 6 pounds so I feel even better with the cute Target bathing suits I have.
Tomorrow Bee and I are going to see David Sedaris. I'm so excited to see him. I love his work and I'm looking forward to seeing him in person. If you've never heard of him, check out his books on amazon.
And finally, Tim and I watched Capote today. All that's left now is Good Night and Good Luck and Munich in my Oscar viewing. I'm not sure if I'm going to watch Munich though. It doesn't really seem like my kind of film. Capote was really good though. Philip Seymour Hoffman totally deserved to win the Oscar. He was fantastic. This was a better movie than Crash and Brokeback but I can see why Crash won. (B- there were only a few really violent parts that i couldn't watch and I'll tell you when they are if you want to put it in your cue) Anyway, Capote is winning in my personal Oscar race right now.
Time to put after sun lotion on my patchy arms before bed. Peace out.

Disney....as promised
Don't you love Tim in the Nemo hat? People actually buy this stuff and wear it! I love it. Of course you know they take it off as soon as they leave Anaheim. Note the playoff beard. Not the I am a big fan of it, but the Sharks are in the playoffs and we are going on Thursday to the game so I understand.
This trip I decided that I wanted lots of pictures of my family and I as we usually take lots of scenery pics but not a lot of people pics. Tim and my Dad were on photo duty and they did a super job. This is my new smile I'm practing. Note how I'm not showing too much teeth...too much teeth equals Lisa with squinty eyes...yuck.
My dad looks surprised in this picture..but this was just an attempt to get him to smile as he suffers from the Steve Brogden syndrome of not smiling in pictures. You just have to surprise them. That seems to be the key.
Here is Tim and I on California Screamin, about to be shot out of this starting gate like a cannon. I must say, this ride I can only go on once before my churros/coke/other sugary snaks/ mickey shaped ice cream etc starts to rise. Go figure =)So in the end it was a great trip. We stayed at the Paradise Pier hotel which was really nice and a fun change from the Park Inn that we usually stay in. It's been a long time since I actually stayed at the Disneyland Resort as they call it. The last time was when I was little and Robin got sick when we jumped on the beds and Brian shot little nerf golf balls onto the roof of the building below us. Good times, of course.
It's always a bummer coming home as it's hard to come down from the sugar/Disney high that I get. Actually, we really didnt' do that bad with our eating this time and didn't gorge ourselves on too much crap. The first night I was worried because they cancelled the fireworks due to high winds. So we went to see Fantasmic, this super cool water show where they back project film clips onto a big sheet spray of water and then of course there is fire and fireworks which I always enjoy. On Saturday night, they delayed the fireworks for a bit but then they went on with the show. It was cool because they had a set of fireworks for every Disney ride, including a set for the Electrical Parade which now runs in California Adventure. So, I was happy in the end as I got to see my fireworks and celebrate the 50th anniversary before it ends in 2 weeks. All in all I think the trip was probably the best I've ever had. At least I have our Christmas trip to look forward to! Viva Disney!

So tired
Moving on, I was very productive tonight and paid a lot of bills online and filed away all my old bills that have been sitting in a pile in my cupboard. I did all this while Tim and I watched the Lizzie McGuire movie. Yes, yes...ha ha. However, I do enjoy the Disney as you all know, and it was a cute movie. Plus, it was that or Herbie: Fully Loaded and I didn't think that I could handle and Hohan this evening.
Well, I think it's time for bed. Hopefully, I'll be able to sleep in a bit in the morning (that's only in tha mornin!). Time to work off that sleep debt. Here we go...
Lok at Number 16
That bitch...I bet she was forcing him to drink...Ha Ha! I love him...Hate her.

Add this to the addiction list
So this drink can be added to my addiction list. I have to say that I love the taste....it's truly addictive and maybe outrageous...truly, truly, truly outrageous...and sidebar...where is Rainbow Brite? She could totally make a comeback right now. All things old are new again. New GI Joe, new Ninja Turtles. I'm sure Hasbro or whoever could pimp her out for the new millenium. Man, I loved her.
On another note, my life is so busy right now. The practice I work in is thriving and we are seeing tons of people. Then, I come home at night and work on my work comp job until bedtime. I just keep reminding myself that it's great to have the extra money so that I can do fun things and be spontaneous...like deciding to go to Sundance with Bee next year. Maybe we'll try on some more Jimmy Choos in the swag rooms while we stalk Matthew Perry. Yum. Time for another Tab Energy.

Good times, Good times
So anyway, this weekend has been great so far. We went to see Bob Saget again on Friday night. That guy is so freakin funny. I don't know if it's sick or not but I also think he's kinda cute. Hmmm.. Anyway, he was great and we had a nice dinner there as well.
Bianca and Tim and I went to see Inside Man at the movies today. It was a good thriller..well written and keeps you guessing to the end. Then Bianca and I went to Target and had a very successful shopping trip. After that, we went to Nordstrom Rack to peruse the merchandise. We had a good time trying on all the 5 inch heel designer shoes for 300 bucks. At one point (the highlight really), this woman in the corner by the shoes let out a fart so loud! She ran away but Bianca and I totally saw her and almost killed ourselves laughing while falling off our stilletto heels. =) It wasn't just a little thhp fart....it was a full on loud ass butt rumber fart that had a trail off ending. I love it! Anyway, I had been drinking that new TAB energy drink (love it by the way) so I think I was a little drunk/high on all that energy stuff which made me laugh even harder. I swear, moments like that are so classic.
The weekend is halfway over and I feel like I still have so much to do. Tim has been playing Oblivion along with half of the gaming world, so I'm sure I'll get some time tomorrow to get all my stuff done. Seacrest, Out!

Boo sharks
Tim and I are going to settle down now and watch some netflix. I'm not sure what we have but I'm sure it'll be good. In terms of new movies, I really want to go see V for Vendetta but I know it's super violent. However, everyone so far has said it is a super movie and a great commentary on the way things could be with the Bush administration. Plus I love Natalie Portman and Hugo Weaving so I think this will have to be a movie that I just go to knowing that I'll have to turn away at some parts...
Anyway, I also have a bunch of work I have to get to. Peace out.

I love Wednesdays (and juice)!
I need to go to Target and the market. Target has such great clothes right now. I'm really surprised. I haven't had a good browse around there in awhile so I think this weekend it will be time for a browse. I know this can be dangerous for the wallet, but, everyone needs a Target fix on a regular basis. =) I also need my eyebrows doing. You know how you can try to wrangle them yourself....but then it gets to the point when they overtake you? I think I'm there now. I must have them groomed this weekend.
Anyway, nothing much else to report. It's nap time I think. Zzzzzzzzz.

The long and now short of it
Tim and I had a nice weekend. We were bums and ran errands. I love those kinds of weekends. I made an attempt to start watching Walk the Line, however, I had to break off to jet up to Fremont to adjust my mum as she hurt her back. I'm sure I'll get back to the movie soon and then I will add my two cents. (As always)
I'm going in late today to work so I'm going to go out to breakfast with my mum. I love breakfast. If I could go out for a meal, breakfast would always be my choice! Too bad Tim isn't a breakfast person.....well at least we usually go to places that make lunch type food at the same time.
Anyway, it's another crazy rainy day. Drive safe everyone. Seacrest out!

How embarassing for me
My first week was good. I basically followed the head doc around and took her notes for her. I'm getting myself acquainted with all their procedures and I think this is going to be a great place for me to be. I feel like I fit in really well so I think that I really did make the right decision.

In other news, here are some pictures from Karaoke last night. It was girls versus boys in the medley game at this point. Eric and Tim were singing Take On Me by A-Ha, which we all know is a quality song. Especially the point where the lead singer hits that really high note (pause for you all to sing it in your head) Well, Eric and Tim can both hit that note. Impressive, I know. It was a great time and I think we are ready for the Karaoke circuit. =)
I promise I'm going to be better with my postings. I swear. I know there are peeps out there who rely on the blog for updates on my life ...Shout out to Kelley in Canada! Peace out.

The return of Jason Bateman!
Besides Vaughniston, this movie stars Jason Bateman as a therapist, I think. I would LOVE Jason to be my therapist..not my analrapist thought. I'm not into that. =)

Why I love Best Week Ever
This is hi-larious. I love video editing! In case you don't know...this is spliced video from Tom Cruise's interview and Oprah's bashing of fallen author James Frey.

Did you all see this?

As we all know I am addicted to the gossip. Here is the most recent scandal....I understand that Britney says she was escaping the popozao, but why didn't she give the kid to her bodyguard to put in the back child seat while she drove? I dunno. We shall see more as the story unfolds.
Finding a balance
Today I met with the doc that I am going to be working with. She kinda changed the hours that I will be working so that made me nervous that I wasn't going to be able to continue with my other insurance job. However, I talked to my insurance boss and he said that it won't be a problem and they will figure something out. I feel much more relived now. You know when you have something weighing on your mind and you just want to get it resolved? I hate that feeling.
Tim is playing Call of Duty on the Xbox 360. It seriously sounds like WW3 is starting in here. I can be laying in bed and the bombing from the game practically shakes the walls. Crazy. The one good thing about our new pimpin sound system is that there is a "night" mode that scales back the volume for night-time. Ah technology, you are my saviour.
The Office is on tonight. If you are not watching it, you must start. We wouldn't want it to go the way of the AD. =(

Superbowl Sunday
Today was a fun day. I had the gang over to watch the big game. I must say that I was proud of my grub as it was tastee! Especially the crescent rolls with cream cheese and bacon bits. YUM!
In other news, I got the job that I was hoping for. I am now going to be an associate doc at a nice practice in Sunnyvale. Yahoo! Things are starting to look up for me =)
Tomorrow Tim and I are going with my boss/good friend Todd to see the Sharks play the Calgary Flames. This is especially cool because Todd is from Calgary. I'm sure some good trash talking will ensue between the boys. I'm there mostly to yell obscenities and act a fool. I also like the fighting. I always hope someone will take of their skate and try to stab another player like Adam Sandler in Happy Gilmore. =)
Anyway, it's time to start cleaning up the house. There's not much to do but I'll feel better if it gets done tonight. There is nothing worse than getting up in the morning to a dirty sink full of dishes.
PS - Only 5 more days to the culmination of AD on that wretched Fox network. A special menu must be planned. I'm sure freezing of B-A-N-A-N-A-S dipped in choco will be in order!

Why I love American Idol
In other news, I should be hearing from the doc I interviewed with by Friday. I just want to know either way what is going on. I need to move on with my life, you know? Anyway, I will post something as soon as I find out what is going on.
PS- I am still majorly addicted to perezhilton.com and pinkisthenewblog.com! I think I need help. =)

We have guns and mustaches! We don't need to explain ourselves.
Ok, so here are my two only good pictures from the SF sketchfest last night. Everything else turned out blurry because the lighting was so bad. Anyway, the pic above is of Rachel Dratch, Amy Pohler, and Horatio Sanz of SNL fame. They were pretty awesome. Lots of laughs were had!
However, here is the kick in the pants. The pic above is of Amy Pohler and her hubby Will Arnett. Now we all know how much Bianca and I LOVE AD and we were so excited to see Will, as GOB is the shiznit! Anyhoo, when Will came out we took loads of pics of him (no flash, mind you). Now somehow I missed this, but Tim and B said that Amy was giving us dirty looks for taking pics of her hubby. Bitch! What the deuce? Her husband is now famous and the star of a superb show. She was just jealous that so many people were there to see him.Mind you, he talked a lot about all the drugs he did in ages past and she sat in the back and looked pissed the whole time, so who knows. Maybe she's just really uptight. By the by, the improv was really good. They were very funny and Will was definitely a hoot. He is super cute although his hair is too long and he is smokey McGee. I think that is how he stays so thin. He is so thin that it is amazing his Rolex Sub-Mariner watch stays on his bony wrist. (Hey Amy, my viewership of your show and your husband's show paid for that Rolex and all the luxury you live in. So I'm taking as many pictures of him as I want to) 'Nuff said!

I've made a huge mistake- 3 days to go!
As Tim mentioned on his blog, the 360 is fully functioning. We played DOA last night and I must say that I am not bad for not having played in awhile. I play with a character who looks like me except for their saucy costumes. Maybe she brings me luck cause we look alike.
My parents have left Atlantis and are now in England. They are going to be there for two weeks. They were initally going to take care of my grandma, but she doesn't want their help, therefore they have decided to just hang out in England for 2 weeks. It'll be nice for them to get to see the rest of the family, plus they always have a good time being home.
Tonight I'm going to attempt to make a pasta dish with cream of mushroom soup. I'll let you know how it goes! =)

Movie Reviews
First, I begin with War of the Worlds with Tom Cruise. I give it one thumb sideways (on the two thumbs up scale) I really dislike Tom Cruise now that he has gone all psycho, but I also really didn't like this movie. There is no explanation of so many things (unless you watch the behind the scenes section and then everyone explains what they were thinking). Hello? It makes no sense. Save yourself two hours and skip this one.
Then we went to see Underworld Evolution. As you are all aware, I love Kate Beckinsdale. Plus, I loved the first Underworld. This one was good if you are a fan of the series. They do a lot of backstory explaining and everything becomes clear. (Unlike War of the Worlds, Spielberg!) It's a pretty violent and gory movie, with loads of fake blood, but nothing I couldn't handle. However, we were walking out and there were a couple of kids in there with their parents! How inappropriate. Besides the extensive violence and gore, there was a super hot sex scene with Kate and Scott Speedman from Felicity. HOT HOT HOT! They showed almost everything....yikes! So yes, I really enjoyed this one.
Then Tim and I came home and watched The Hitchiker's Guide to the galaxy. It was totally weird but really funny and it has a couple of my favorite English actors in it. I think I gave it 3 stars. (Incidentally, check out my ratings now on Netflix. I went on a ratings tear today!)
Then finally, we watched Unbreakable by M. Night Shamalama ding dong. This was the first movie I have seen of his all the way through. I saw bits and pieces of Sixth Sense and never wanted to see Signs or the Village. Anyway, the movie was okay. I thought it was very creative and I can appreciate his talent, but it was a bit slow.
Overall, it was a crazy movie day. Tim and I are trying to bust through the Netflix cue a little more quickly as we usually are lazy about watching things and we are not using our membership to the fullest, I'm sure.
Tomorrow will be football, cleaning the house and napping. An ideal day for me really. Especially the napping part....zzzzzzzz....zzzzzz

News flash!
Hello boys and girls
I still haven't heard from the woman I interviewed with last week. I'll give her a few more days and then I'll get in touch with her. Fingers crossed STILL!
I'm excited because Underworld: Evolution comes out on Friday. I loved the first one and I love Kate Beckinsdale. She is number two on my hot girl list after Angelina, however, we all know that Angelina is falling in favor now that she is pregnant before getting hitched. The only bad thing about Kate is that she is too thin and that she smokes (like everyone, I know). But, alas, she is still a hottie!
Anyway, time to get cracking on my insurance work. As they say in England...Laters!

I'm a gossip addict
In other news, I went to observe at the office at which I am interviewing this morning. It was really nice, a very laid back place. I think that I would fit in there well.
My parents are going to Atlantis in the Bahamas for my dad's business meeting tomorrow. (i know, life is hard) They'll be there for a week and then they are going to England as my grandmother isn't doing too well. She needs to go into care, but she is so stubborn. But really, she can't take care of herself, even with her helper. I don't know how long they will be there, but I hope it's not too long. We just all got to be together again!
Tomorrow morning is going to be an exciting time, full of ironing and exercising. I've had a break from exercising for three days, so I need to get back into routine before I get lazy again. At least football will be on. I like Pittsburg, just purely for this guy. Try saying his last name in an aggressive way. It's makes you fired up!

Free at last!
As a sidebar, Tim got a movie call Havoc from Netflix. It stars that girl Anne Hathaway from the princess diaries. Let me tell you....that movie is crazy. And the language? ROUGH! It's basically about really rich kids living in the Pacific Palisades area who want to be gang types. Tim and I had a good laff though because they are at this party and start singing Tupac songs. That is so Tim and I! It's like that part in Office Space when Michael Bolton is blasting ghetto rap in his car and singing along but then turns it down when a black guy walks by his window. Love it! Anyway, the point of this story is that this movie is all about sex, drugs, drinking and trying to be gang types with the rough kids in east LA. It's nuts. Tim mostly wanted it for the boobs, I think! =) I do recommend it though, as Anne Hathaway is outstanding as an actress. It's just a little odd after seeing the Princess Diaries and all. I am also looking forward to her starring as Andrea in The Devil Wears Prada movie. That should be a good one.
Alas, fatigue is setting in so I think it's time to go to bed and watch a little Family Guy. That's always a good way to end the day! As Stewie says: "I'm going to give you a quick vision test. What is this, a Toblerone or a Poopie?"
PS- What's up with my love Angelina getting preggers? My love for her wanes...

Comings and Goings
My dad's 60th birthday was on Monday. I'm glad that he had such a good time. It's hard to believe that your parent can be 60! I think this birthday will be the start of a really good year for him. Then we get to the pictures of New Year's Eve. Crazy, crazy times! What a blast the four of us had. I'm really glad that we got to spend that time together. I look forward to many more New Year's Eve's together with Sarah and Steve.
Our friend Jose...the main event for New Year's Eve. We did learn, courtesy of Scuba Steve how to take a shot properly. You breathe in, shoot it, then breathe out. No burning, no bleh feeling. He learned it from a drunk Russian. Figures.....=) Tuesday, December 27, 2005
Crazy day!
Tim didn't get called for jury duty today but he has to call back tomorrow afternoon. I just hope that over the next few days he is on phone standby only. That means we can still spend some nice time together.
I am currently watching Star Wars Episode I. I complained too, but Tim said we have to start in chronological order. Oh well, I'm just watching the parts with Liam Neeson and Darth Maul. That's really all that is worth watching. (Sorry Tim, you know how I feel) Anyway, I think it is time for a little Perfect Dark Zero, or PDZ as us gamers say. Check my xbox live profile below and on the right to see how I am doing!

Christmas has come and gone
Today we went to see King Kong. It was pretty good, but too long. I think Peter Jackson gets a bit wrapped up in everything and can't find a way to end his films early. Overall, the Lord of the Rings films are better I think, but Kong definitely was worth a look see. I usually don't like Jack Black in anything he does. He just seems like an unattractive bumbling idiot most of the time, but he was really good in Kong because it is all drama. This is the first I have seen of Adrien Brody and Naomi Watts, as their other movies have been about war and horror, two genres that I avoid regularly. Adrien Brody is odd, because he is funny looking when you first see him, but the more he is onscreen, the more adorable he becomes. Plus, nice body! =) Peter Jackson is producing The Lovely Bones and Halo as movies in the future. I haven't yet read The Lovely Bones but I will and everyone knows what a great game Halo is. I just hope he doesn't muck Halo up, because video game movies have a tendency of being crap.
Anyway, Christmas has come and gone and now we have the new year to look forward to. I hope that Tim gets some time off this week. He is scheduled for jury duty but hopefully he won't get called. Tim and Eric are going to play hearts on the 360 now so I'll sign off. I hope everyone had a nice, safe Christmas and I hope that Santa brought you all everything you wanted! Peace out homies. =)

Hmmmmm
I can't believe that Christmas is here! It really came up quick. Tim and I are just doing stockings this year for each other, but I've put some pretty "sizeable" things in his sock already! =) I can't wait for Christmas morning together. I have to find a Starbucks that is open on Christmas day before we go to his parents house. I'm going to need my fix for sure! Gingerbread latte, here I come.
As a sidebar, I am watching Starsky and Hutch with Ben Stiller. This movie just re-affirms my love for Jason Bateman. It's funny though, because he never looks like himself in old movies or in weird fire based child killing Twilight zone episodes wearing Burberry PJ's. Hmmmm...More love to him. Not as much as Matthew Perry though. He will always be my number one!
Monday, December 19, 2005
And that's why you don't use a one armed man to teach a lesson!
Tim and I are settling in for the evening. He is playing Prince of Persia and I'm reading a book I got for Christmas from Cheri. I really wanted to watch crap shows on MTV but thank God for Tivo. I'll just watch them in the morning when I am working. =) Then I won't have to hear Tim complain about everything. He's lucky I am such an understanding wife. Ha Ha Ha! Fonzi be with you.

Cracking the nuts!
The ballet was beautiful. (The men have the best bodies too!) That's why women like the ballet, I think. We can enjoy the dance and the music and then oggle the hot bods!
After the ballet, we all came back and watched The 40 year old Virgin. I have to say that I have a huge crush on Steve Carrell. He's such a cutie pie and hilarious! If you're not watching The Office, you should be. It's just like AD, where there is no laugh track and it is shot in an artistic way. Two thumbs up!
Anyway, I hope that everyone had a nice, safe weekend. Keep dry and don't leave your uncle teabag hanging! (AD never gets old! I love it!)

I'm bad, I know!
I went to Santana Row today to get my nails done at Lavande nail salon. I highly recommend it. It's so clean and sterile which I love! It's not that much more expensive than a regular hole in the wall place, so I feel like it is worth it. Plus, they do such a great job. Nothing like a good mani-pedi, eh girls?
Right now I'm watching A Baby Story on TLC. That program makes me cringe. All that pushing and screaming just confirms that I am not ready for a child. (Bless you birth control, bless you). Plus, today at Sur la Table at Santana Row, this little boy who was about 3 years old screamed like he was being tortured for about 15 minutes straight while his mum shopped. Why do parents let their children scream like that? At least try to calm him down or take him out of the store. I was on the phone with Tim in the store and he asked if there was a T-Rex tearing down the store!
Anyway, the oven just beeped. I am making mini-muffins for a party tomorrow. German Chocolate with cream cheese frosting. Is it bad to have cupcakes for dinner? Hmmm...=)

We have returned
On a different note, a rep from the HMO company that represents Kaiser is coming out to my office tomorrow to make sure it is suitable for treating patients. I think that I will pass! =) I can't wait to start accepting Kaiser patient's as I think it will make a huge difference to my business. Keep your fingers crossed peeps. I'll keep you posted on how it goes.

No day but today
Today was a day of returns. I returned about 5 things to different stores. The best is when I went to Target to take something back without a receipt, they told me that I had maxed out the number of times you could bring something back without a receipt for the year. Thank God that 2005 is almost over! Yikes. I really must do a better job of keeping my receipts. I even have a little receipt keeper that I need to get in the habit of using.
Other than that, life is very good. I've come to the conclusion that life is very short and we should enjoy each day as it comes. Perhaps this comes as no surprise as Sarah and I went to see Rent last weekend (hence the no day but today title) Also, my parents keep on mentioning people they know that are getting cancer and having strokes left and right. So, let's all make a vow to be less stressed! Enjoy life today because you don't know what will happen tomorrow! (Except for me today because tomorrow is Disney) =) Peace out homies! See you when I return from the house of the mouse!

Minute silence for AD
Oh my God, no way!
So, our tv won't be fixed until next week when the part comes in. Weak sauce. Of course, Tim is mostly concerned that we'll be wihout our super TV when the XBOX 360 comes out in a few weeks. What will he do? Will he be forced to play on our smaller, weaker bedroom TV? Tragedy is afoot.
My one patient today didnt show up. Things are SUPER slow right now but that's okay because I got a raise at my other job and I'm working for them about 5 hours a day now. Good for me and my pocketbook. (PS what the deuce is up with pocketbooks?)
I looked in my closet today and felt very dissapointed with my selection. I need to shop for more clothes, yet I suck at picking things out. Maybe I need to start wearing tie-dye and jimmy jams outside so that gay dude and chickie from what not to wear will show up and stalk me and dress me like a doll. They could throw all my clothes away if they wanted to. I wouldn't complain.
If anyone sees them around....flag their asses down and let them know that Lisa needs a new wardrobe. (Sans pocketbook) Enough said.

Bees? Beads? Bees?
I went to Santana Row last night to an Irish pub and had dinner with my hubby and our best friends. What a nice time we had. Then they came back to our apt and we watched their wedding video. I want to get married again! =)
Tim and I have been holed up in our room all day because our big TV out front is broken. We went out for a few groceries this morning and then went to Krispy Kreme. I was surprised at how good their coffee was and I'm pleased that they have their pumpkin spice doughnuts again. I've had two today along with a breakfast burrito (homemade). Now one would think that would be enough food but I'm craving a whopper jr. Damn you BK! Damn you to hell! Why can't I just eat what I want? Actually, I could eat what I want if I would get back to the gym, although it seems as though I can't drag my ass around to it...oh well.

Now I am 26
Today was a nice day as well. I had a lot of work to do but took a break to have lunch with my mum at Santana Row. When we were there, I parked next to a big Ford Expedition and when I got out I saw a wallet lying underneath it. I picked it up and started going through it to try to find a number I could call. In the meantime, the owner came back to his car in a panic. He gave me 100 bucks for findings his wallet! Cool. It's nice when things you do get appreciated.

How did it get to Sunday already?
It's my birthday on Thursday. I'm going to be 26, although it doesn't really feel like it. I can't believe that my birthday snuck up on me. Soon it will be Thanksgiving and then DISNEYLAND! I can't wait to go this year, with it being Christmas and the 50th anniversary. Tim made a comment today that this trip will be the first time we go together as a married couple. How cool is that?
I can't wait for Christmas...it's time to start making my shopping list. Of course I have no money to shop with, but what the hell, you only live once.
